Office annual get together

We used to have annual get together every as an offsite event but only for Company associates. With the change in policy of no gifts to staff, this year they arranged for a family get together to use the budgeted amount. Given the options, the team finalized the venue at Woodlands as it was within city, so easily accessible to all, had a hall that could accommodate the large team including family members and stage where they can conduct their usual programs. As usual, given the Leadership involvement it was very well organized and everyone had a fabulous time as they arranged even drawing and games for the kids and others before the start of the event. Gifts for the winners….it was well conceived and executed. Full kudos to the Leadership and core event team in making this event hugely successful as ever including the food (16th Sep 2017)
In fact Anirud volunteered and went up to the stage to recite a sloka and answer some questions. I was kind of surprised at the same time happy that the kiddo is growing up without stage fear and not being an introvert like me. He gets along quite well with anyone and is really easy going….I guess like Mom…it will keep him in good stead in the long run which is important in an open social environment where you need to mingle and take part in events….unlike me
Madam has another opportunity to release another new dress she bought from Mumbai…..loves going outdoors….she needs a change being at home all the time
In 2018 it was organized in Hyatt Regency at Mount road. I guess the only issue with the previous year was with respect to the food option being only vegetarian since it was organized at Woodlands. So this venue had the option for both and would satisfy everyone as per their needs. (21st Sep 2018)
all set to go and have some fun and food filled entertainment…
time to release another new dress and be in your best avatar
Like last year, the team had arranged programs but it was a toned down due to various constraints. Nevertheless, they tried to do their best given the limitations and one has to truly appreciate everyone’s involvement, participation and commitment to make the event a successful one.
The only issue was the size of the dining place and the not so quick replenishment by the hotel staff, it became quite crowded and it was difficult to navigate yourself in and out. Otherwise, it was well managed.
and so we had a good time for a couple of years with family and colleagues meeting and greeting everyone at one place for fun, food and catching up….
….with that the curtains went down forever….
