August is a month of celebrations. 20th is my birthday, 24th is our wedding anniversary and 25th is Dad’s birthday. Sireesh’s (my cousin brother) birthday falls on 17th….
Anirud – Thatha…for whatever reason, we could not go out yesterday. As it happened with Appa’s birthday where we celebrated only the next day, let us celebrate your birthday today even though it is delayed by one day. Let’s go…hold my hand….I will lead the way…
Thatha (Gramps) – Super impressed with Grandson…as you say dearest….
Anirud – Thatha and Paati….you both look great in your outfits…best couple I have ever seen…no one can match you truly…you simply rock even at this age…ok, I am going to call and check out if they have managed my booking for this special occasion.
Thatha to Paati – Look at him…..even at this age, he is thinking ahead of his time and doing all this….even our son won’t be able to do this…
Paati – Acknowledging Thatha…absolutely…Karthik cannot even think of doing this…all of these attributes have come from his mother…she is the one who thinks about all these things for others with such meticulous planning and execution….he has caught up all of these at this age itself….surprisingly….
Thatha – You cannot say like this about Karthik….after all he is our son and he does care about us….
Paati – Of course, he does care immensely about us…no doubts about that….all I said was that he cannot manage all this task of functions, celebrations, parties etc….including home management…he leaves that to Vidya…as he is only concerned about work at office….
Thatha – What to do….he is always busy at work…..it is important you know….
Paati – Of course…I do and I know that you will always support him, no matter what he does or does not do….
Anirud – Ok Thatha and Patti….why fight over your son…he is anyway useless…..when it comes to home….it is just me and Amma…I have planned out a surprise birthday party for Thatha…so let us get going….you are going to enjoy it…
Thatha and Paati – Okda chellam (Sweetheart)….let us go and have a fun filled evening….with you….that’s why we have come to Kuwait….
