It was the first day of the English New Year; we had returned home early morning after celebrating the dawn of New Year in Ranjini Suresh’s house. And there was a plan to go out Wafra farms. Wafra is an area about 50 plus kilometers from city. It’s primarily desert wherein you would find farm houses owned by Kuwaitis. They also cultivate vegetables over there. In winter people go and stay in the farms apart from the many desert camps / tents that come up during that time. So the 4SA group members decided to go for a long drive and spend some time in the farm house. So we all started around 12 noon and had lunch at Udupi restaurant in Fahaheel. After that we left to the Wafra farms and when we reached there we found that to be locked as holiday was declared for the laborers in the camp as well. Then on the way we found some beach buggies and the kids wanted to go for a joy ride. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the ride and so did Anirud. He went along with Hari and other kids Pranav, Ritika. Then Varshini took all the three kids (Anirud, Pranav and Ritika) with her in the buggy. The kiddo thoroughly enjoyed the outing as ever. Loves the sunshine and wasn’t bothered about the cold, it wasn’t really that cold on that day fortunately. Vidya went for a ride with Ruthwik. Thereafter we left to purchase vegetables in the nearby market where they sell everything in wholesale. Then it was again a long ride back home and everyone had good fun along the way.

Despite staying awake until midnight. Everyone, including the kids had the energy and vivacity to go out and have fun….the energy level of this group was truly stupendous and we enjoyed every moment of it. It was like being in a family away from a family. Such was the bonding and togetherness of this awesome group of friends who came together for every occasion, good or bad. To find such like minded individuals having fun, frolic and sharing of thoughts and ideas is a rarity, really.
