play

We need to encourage our kids to go out and play with other children as it will teach them a lot of good habits that is so important for life. Every child is unique, and everyone will have their own ideas about how to play and whom to play with in a team. if it is a team sport, someone will be named as a captain and has to choose other members in the team. The team captain will decide who has to play in which sequence or decide on the positioning of the team members in the field. All of this has to be done impartially without giving preference to their closest friends. Though it is for pure fun, the spirit of the game has to be followed wherever it is played and in whichever circumstance. Egos can come into play irrespective of age group whether it is a child or an adult. In a team sport, there is absolutely no place for ego, if the team wants to succeed and win. There is always a case for arguments and fistfights which can result in kids getting bruised mentally and physically. As parents, it is our duty to educate our children to resolve the issues amongst themselves and not get involved in their issues. Children have the habit of forgetting it and getting along with their friends all over again as if nothing ever occurred. However, if parents get involved it can be memorialized and will continue forever which can lead to other complications. It is, therefore, important for the children to think and decide for themselves as to who or what is right or wrong and to accept their fallacies or forgive the faults of their friends. All the good virtues of life can be learnt at this age when children come together and play as one. Therefore, let’s encourage the kids to play, whether it’s rain or shine, the way we used to live in our childhood rather than the virtual digital playgrounds of today where they do not even know who is on the other side and cannot feel the pulse and emotions the other person is undergoing….virtual reality can never replace reality and truth actually hurts and someday they have to face it….and if they don’t practice it now….they will find it virtually impossible to survive in the real world.

It’s time to play real games in the real world with real people…face to face…that’s what life is all about
