Chess

Chess is an interesting game. One is that you need to be patient and two you need to outsmart your opponent. I am talking about everyday normal chess players and not even the serious masters of this game. I have been playing this game since my teenage years and now am playing it with my son who’s entering his teens. It’s all about strategy, making the opponent think that this is what you are planning while you have another plan or make use of the wrong moves made by your opponent either on their own or because of your strategy. It’s all about power to the mind and complete concentration. If you enjoy this game it will really keep you hooked on for hours together. In a way it resembles or resonates what happens in your life. You can win provided you make the right choice and moves. Else you falter and lose. Therefore you need to carefully consider the choices you have in front of you and decide carefully how you want to proceed. There are certain times in life when you have to make certain decisions and those can be difficult at times. It would mean sacrificing something now for the greater good or a better outcome finally. However, if one does not take those decisions now, life can take a different turn altogether. Chess teaches you all those different dimensions and scenarios of life when you play with different opponents. In brief, it helps you to improve your decision making skills without dependence. That is a critical life lesson. Life will test you in many different ways. It’s how you face and navigate through those difficult paths determines how successful and resourceful you are. It’s a competitive world out there with scarce resources and many fighting for it. It’s those who are bold, decisive and determined with a never say die attitude that reach their ultimate goal. Don’t mistake…that would fall down a thousand times along the way but they would raise again without giving up on their dreams. It’s like the game of Chess. You may lose but you need to think, strategize and implement them with changes, as you go, to win finally. It’s never easy…..what’s important is how hard are you trying and not willing to give up until your last breath.
