Anirud’s fascination with charcoal drawing continues and he is able to excel in it to the best of his abilities. At 11 years I don’t think I could have done this for sure. Though he has been going for drawing classes, I admire his patience and perseverance as a child to be able to do it with such dexterity. However, like any other child, it’s only when he is pushed to a corner or forced compulsively does he take up such kind of initiatives. This definitely involves considerable amount of time, tolerance and determination to achieve what he has done as it calls for certain level of adroitness. Am I proud of what he has achieved so far, yes of course, I certainly do without a doubt. However, I also dearly wish that he continues with the same level of zeal so that he can fine tune his skills and become an astute and deft artist. Just the way I enjoy writing to express freely how I feel about anything and everything, as an artist, he can express himself without any restraint or inhibitions. I hope he pursues his enthusiasm fervidly without losing intent along the way as there are numerous distractions that are easy to partake. If we need to cultivate and grow what we fervently feel about pursuing in our life, we need to put in a lot of effort and endure every obstacle that may come along the way.
When I see the Horse, it resembles me of Black Beauty the famous and heartwarming Children’s book that most of us must have read in our Childhood. Horse is a majestic and aristocratic animal that signifies poise and elegance. You can feel kindness in its eyes as it reaches out to you for soothing caresses and smothering kisses on its forehead. I need your warmth embrace, take me in and love me like your child.
Kangaroo on the other hand is always sprightly and full of energy and vitality. It is like always on the edge waiting to jump over and move on with tremendous speed and alacrity. When you see a Kangaroo on the other hand, it seems to say through its eyes, I prefer to be aloof with my own pack, so just leave me alone.
Two contrasting animals from their looks, stance and build. Kangaroo weighs about 45 kg, with a height of 175 cms and reaches a top speed (hopping) of 70 kph. Horse weights about 1000 kg, with a height of 160 cms and reaches a top speed of 88 kph. Let us be kind to all animals, after all they are also God’s creation in a different form, shape, size and they speak their own language. We just need to be gentle enough to understand their feelings with some care and compassion.
