A day to reflect of what’s bygone, what’s yet to come and feel proud of what you have become and seek blessings from parents without whose sacrifices we wouldn’t be what we are today. A day to cherish and be nostalgic about those wonderful days that’s forever etched in your memory. Though it’s reiterated that we need to live in the moment, we keep reflecting upon those beautiful, carefree days you would have spent as a child forlorn in your own world, without cares and worries about the next moment. Those are absolutely pristine, to be treasured and relived from time to time. It’s a time to say a big thank you to the Lord, Parents, Spouse, Friends and Family who have been a part of your life, to forgive and forget the unpleasant moments, because they teach you what to avoid and move forward. Life in brief is a great leveler that scales you across all levels (ups and downs) that in truth is transient, yet we feel that we own it as if it were a little toy and cry like a baby when it’s snatched from us. I was told quite some time back about “connecting the dots”….you won’t be able to understand why somethings in life happen at the moment…you might feel distraught, angry and even outright angst by unbearable anguish. Yet in time, you would realize, that’s there is a meaning to it…as it unfolds slowly in time. I have realized that in my own lifetime and am still learning. I don’t intend to be preachy, though that’s what most of you might feel about what’s written here. So all I intend to say is just this, linger on and learn to course through the difficult times and you would for sure see light at the end of the tunnel. For some, the duration is short, for some it’s long but it just can’t stay that way forever…because life is all about evolution and change…but there’s one thing I could say…it starts with You….and if it hasn’t started yet….make it happen today….because it’s on this day…several years ago, you have stepped your foot on this world….and the world is your stage for you to make your mark and tell your story…whichever way you would like it to be.
