Oct 2nd is Gandhi Jayanthi day. It is celebrated to mark the birthday of Mahathma Gandhi, Father of our nation. It is declared as a National Holiday. It was a Sunday though…so actually speaking a holiday lost from a worker perspective.
It’s one of those days when we wanted to go out and relax as a family to give some respite for my lady love and an outing for the ebullient child.

How’s that…and I actually love Black outfits. It’s actually neutral in my opinion and does not take a stance unlike other colors. People do symbolize it with Mourning and Protest but otherwise…I guess it’s kind of simple to choose without having to choose anything else when there are wide array of colors. Normally, she does not prefer darker shades as she is already dusky and it would make her look pale. But to be honest, she looks radiant in any outfit as she has both the figurine and captivating charisma to carry it elegantly and look dazzling at the same time.

Mom wore a simple Salwar Kurta set which she bought in Mumbai, (I think Cotton World) while Sonny was dapper with his in his yellow shirt, patterned waist coat (vest) and blue jean and shoes which we had bought recently for his Upanayanam. I was all black….shirt, jean, shoes and watch included...don’t ask me about the inner…I don’t remember
There were not many places to go around in Chennai. Destination was Phoenix mall in Velachery to do some random window shopping and then lunch at some place which we are yet to discover and has something different to offer both in terms of variety and ambiance so that we enjoy both food as well as the overall atmosphere and experience.
