One of the most memorable events that we were fortunate to visit during our brief Kuwait stint was the sand sculptures based on 1001 Arabian nights. It was massive in scale, visually breathtaking, work of ultimate craftsmanship and truly one of a kind and out of the world. It was something not to be missed and truly we were blessed to see it live in action. For those of you who could not see it in real, visualize the grandeur, beauty and magnificence of these sculptures through these photos. You may probably appreciate the stunning and awesome creations even better if you have read the stories and can relate to it…(unfortunately I did not capture those story lines which would have enriched knowledge and pleasure of seeing the story come alive in front of our eyes)…..it’s truly a mind blowing work of art. I cannot even imagine how they could have visualized and created those monstrous sculptures. It must have been phenomenal amount of painstaking effort with such deftness it’s really master class in action. Sheer brilliance, skill and creativity resulting in ingenious work that only a few can do. Rest of us can take pleasure in seeing that lovely piece of imagination and talent in action.

The project took 30,000 tons of sand covering an area of 28,000 square meters or around the size of four soccer fields. About 1 million Kuwaiti dinars was spent in constructing this World’s largest sand sculptures. for more details visit…

Finally we have captured, yet at what cost
reclaimed and we now live in peace and harmony
let there be mellifluous music, my lady
bring on the dancing queen to match the tilting music
it’s time to rest after all the fights and hard work
the mogul and the mesmerizing maid…it’s us time after all this madness
and the queen is finally relieved, rest and smile at ease
