Last visit to Hadi Clinic…

Since we went to Hadi Clinic for the initial diagnosis and confirmation regarding pregnancy, we continued with the same Indian Lady Doctor (Anitha) at Hadi Clinic. She was quite popular not only among the Indian crowd but also with the local Kuwaitis. There was no prior appointment as such and you had to go there and wait in queue. Mostly it used to be in the evening going into late night sometimes. There used to be long rows of chairs and literally it used to take 2-3 hours for us to get a chance to see her. The funny part is that when we go to meet her, it used to get over in 10 minutes max. However, when others go, it would seem like an endless affair and at times we would wonder, if the ones that went in actually came out or not. Whether they exited through some other non existent door. The wait seemed eternal and exhausting to be honest. In addition, we used to be amazed, we don’t really have that many questions to ask her, what exactly would these folks be discussing with her for such a long time. What is that we are not able to think, ask and clarify. The hospital had a Starbucks cafe at the entrance, well air-conditioned (quite cold truth be told) and impeccably maintained. If there was one area of hospitalization that was top class, then it was Maternity, even in Government hospitals. What I heard is that they try only for normal delivery and for every cesarean operation, the hospital has to provide justification to the Ministry of Health why they could not do it with a normal delivery. I don’t know how true is that….but Maternity is truly a masterclass experience over there. As you can see from the pictures they have these blue and pink balloons, various gift items, chocolates, dry fruit items decoratively and exquisitely packaged to be delivered for the patients in their wards. A checkup in the hospital comes with a steep price, but fortunately, we were covered on account of corporate medical insurance and hence it compensated for the visits, medication and delivery in India as well. Overall, it was a good experience and all is well that ended well…
