King of Mathura is on the way

This was indeed a special birthday unlike anything in the past or even in the future. She looked ever more beautiful and glowing with the baby growing inside her. My mother was so happy for both of us. They never ever pressurized us or said anything untoward for the delay. We are forever grateful to them for their understanding and support during the last couple of years. It was traumatizing to be honest. And finally to see the seed of love giving way to a new life, the relief and joy is indescribable. As you can see from these photos it’s pure exhilaration. The MIL and DIL enjoyed an awesome relationship. My mother took her as her own daughter and showered her with love and care. Likewise Vidya enjoyed the liberty provided at home which was quite different from what she was accused to. Food was a problem sometimes as we were heavily into rice and she preferred rotis and other north Indira varieties. Otherwise she could get all the freedom she wanted to have a decent lifestyle. I think in the morning, we went to see her sister and brother as they stayed at Nanganallur and her parents who had come down from Mumbai during this time.

In the evening we planned to go to Mathura for Dinner. Our parents prefer traditional food without much masalas etc. therefore the obvious choice was Mathura to cater to their palate. It’s a great feeling to take your parents out and make them feel happy about it. These are simple things these days but unimaginable in their days when money was in short supply. Everyone and everything had to be rationed every month. My mother used to keep a dairy of her daily and monthly expenses. It’s like your P&L to track your Income and Expenditure and what’s left at the end of the month. Therefore it becomes our duty to provide them with the little pleasures of life. My wife would make fun of me often saying that you are the old man of the house. I used to only wearing shirts and not T shirts as I am fat. To hide my belly I always felt comfortable wearing a shirt. Whereas my Dad was cool wearing different costumes to suit the occasion. He was actually the coolest guy in town. Being a borne Sales and Marketing person he was always outgoing by nature. Where’s I am the exact opposite being shy and introverted. We all had our moments and fun time with some good food. Once you fill your belly you also fill your mind and only thing left out is to catch a good nights sleep. And thus ended the day.
